Frequently asked questions
How the League of Legends status checker works and what the statuses mean.
Is League of Legends down right now?
Check the live status on the home page — we fetch Riot's status feed every minute and flag any region with active incidents or maintenance.
How do you check if League is down?
We read Riot's public per-region status feed (the same data that powers the in-client notifications). If the feed lists a critical incident we mark the region as down; other incidents or maintenance show as degraded.
It says up but I can't connect?
Riot's feed reflects what they've published — there can be a short delay before a new issue appears. We also debounce: a single bad read is held for one cycle, so a brief blip never triggers a false alarm.
Which regions can I check?
All 16 League regions: NA, BR, LAN, LAS, EUW, EUNE, TR, ME, KR, JP, OCE, SG, PH, TH, TW and VN. See the region checker for the full list.
Is the uptime history global?
Yes — the history is stored server-side and shared by all visitors. It started when the site launched.
Is the status the same for everyone?
Yes — the verdict is a live, global check, so everyone sees the same answer at the same time.
